LOUIS H. LEBOWITZ
Louis H. Lebowitz is President and Managing Director of SLJ. Prior to the formation of SLJ in 1987, Lou specialized in diversified personal investments in real estate, oil and gas, and commercial ventures. He practiced law until 1978, when he established his own investment and real estate advisory enterprise. Lou is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Texas Association of Realtors, the Dallas Board of Realtors, and the Dallas Venture Capital Forum.
Lou received his J.D. with honors, in 1973, from the University of Texas, and received his B.S. with honors, in 1970, from Tulane University.
TY UNDERWOOD
Ty Underwood is Chief Operations Officer of SLJ and oversees brokerage, acquisitions, financing and asset management for the firm. In his role at SLJ, Ty has sourced investment opportunities, negotiated purchase and sale agreements, performed due diligence, supervised entitlements, site planning, lease contract negotiations, project financing, site selection and investments sales. Since beginning his career in commercial real estate in 2002, Ty has been involved in hundreds of real estate transactions totaling over $200 million. Prior to joining SLJ, he spent two years as an investment sales broker with Henry S. Miller Commercial.
Ty received a Bachelor of Arts from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Finance. He holds a Real Estate Broker License as well as a Property Tax Consultant License, and is a member of both the International Council of Shopping Centers and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors. Ty is married with two sons and resides in Dallas, Texas.
